En France on trouve encore beaucoup de cours appelés "Ragga-Dancehall" qui sont en fait du new style légerement modifié ou du hip hop sur de la musique dancehall, encore bien loin du vrai style. CEUX QUE BEAUCOUP APPELLENT LE STYLE "PASSA PASSA" EST EN FAIT DU DANCEHALL A PART ENTIERE!!!! Passa Passa est le nom d'une soirée qui a lieu en plein Kingston tout comme Weddy weddy ou dutty friday. La danse dancehall a été développée dans ce sens par feu Bogle aka Mr Wacky et son crew Black Roses.
